JUDGE MARK E. MITCHELL

Mark E. Mitchell serves as the State Court Judge of Thomas County, Georgia.  Judge Mitchell was elected to this position on July 22, 2012.  Following the untimely death of Judge Elliot P. McCollum, Judge Mitchell was appointed by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to fill the unexpired term and took office early in late August, 2012.

Judge Mitchell also serves as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Thomasville and has formerly served as an Associate Judge of the Thomas County Magistrate Court.

For over 20 years Judge Mitchell has established a proven record of service as a lawyer and a judge in the Thomasville and Thomas County community.
